Statistics from the Finance and Leasing Association revealed a levelling off of car finance deals in the UK in spring 2007.

10% fewer second hand cars are being bought on finance compared with the same period a year ago. New cars bought on finance revealed only a 1% rise in the value of the transactions, but the drop in the volume for used cars negated this rise.

These figures came ahead of April's new reg plate launch.
