CAR NEWS - Feb 2007 Rolls Phantom for $2 Million A Rolls Phantom has been auctioned for $2 million making it the most expensive car ever. This took place at a charity auction at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. The car itself was launched at the Detroit Motor Show in January. This model normally retails at $407,000 (around £200,000) and all models of this car to be made in 2007 have already been sold. The buyer is a resident of Naples who will still have to wait some months for the new car to be completed by Rolls Royce. The Phantom is an open-topped, two-door car, made from aluminium and is one of the fastest for its class.
